संतो ईण मन कूं क्या कीजे। अमरत नाम छाड दे दुष्टी, विषय करम सुं रीजे ।। टेर ।।
है सो करम करे नहीं कोई, नहीं है तांसू झुंबै अलबी जीभ झके दिन राती, नेण पाप दिश जोवे ।। ।। १ ।।
मात पिता सुत नार कुलंतर, धन काजे नित रोवे ।। २ ।।
धिरग धिरग मन बुध बिहूणा, आन झूठ सूं लूंबे
जां सूं जाय नरक में पडियो, सो विध हरषर धारे। तां पद सूं गत मोख मिलीजे, वाकूं नांय सम्भारे ।। ४ ।।
हाहाकार चल्यो ईण मन सूं, मेरे हाथ न आवे।
लालच लोभ करम के काजा, नित मन पंथ ध्यावे। हरकी भक्त जन की मन में, सपने हूं नहीं लावे।। ३ ।।
कह सुखराम मोख पद छाडर, नरक कुंड दिश ध्यावे ।। ५ ।।

संतों से महाराज फरमाते हैं कि इस मन का क्या करूं, परमात्मा का नाम अमृत के समान है, पर इसे छोड़कर यह विषयों और कर्मों में लगा रहता है। भजन करना चाहिए, लेकिन वह नहीं करता है; न करने के काम में लगा रहता है। हे मन मूरख, तुझे धिक्कार है, धिक्कार है। जो माया असत है, उसकी भक्ति करता है। जीभ से रात-दिन फालतू की बातें करता है, आंखों से कुदृष्टि से देखता है, माता-पिता, संतान, धन, कुटुम्ब और पत्नी के लिए रात-दिन रोता रहता है। लालच, लोभ और कर्म बंधन में हमेशा लगा रहता है। परमात्मा की भक्ति और संतों की संगत करने का विचार तो सपने में भी नहीं करता। जिस काम को करने से नरक में जाना पड़ता है, उसे खुशी-खुशी धारण करता है। रामजी की भक्ति करने से मुक्ति और मोक्ष मिलता है, लेकिन वह नहीं करता। मैं सब तरह से इस मन से हार गया हूं। अब यह मन मेरे बस में नहीं होता है। महाराज फरमाते हैं कि मोक्ष की प्राप्ति का रास्ता छोड़कर, यह मन नरक में जाने का कार्य करता है।
Maharaj says to the saints, "What should I do with this mind? The name of the Supreme Being is like nectar, yet it deviates from it and remains engaged in worldly matters and actions. It should do bhajan, but it does not; instead, it is focused on actions that should not be done. Oh foolish mind, you deserve to be cursed, cursed! It worships the false illusion of Maya.It speaks useless words day and night with its tongue, looks with a gaze of lust through its eyes, and constantly weeps day and night for parents, children, wealth, family, and wife. It remains perpetually caught in greed and the bondage of actions. It does not even think, not even in dreams, of devoting itself to God or associating with saints. It willingly clings to actions that lead to hell. Although devotion to Ram bhajan brings liberation and salvation, it does not engage in that.I have been defeated by this mind in every way. Now, this mind does not remain under my control. Maharaj says that instead of seeking the path to liberation, this mind works towards going to hell."
