Ve jaale ve gadhe jami mein, sat raah kin paai. || 3 || Hindu kharch barvo thape, turak chaaliso khaave. Kah Sukhram suno sab gyani, arth kise ko aave. || 4 || पंडितो से महाराज फरमाते हैं कि हिंदू और मुसलमान दोनों में भूल है और वे कर्म में लगे हुए हैं, यही ऊजड़ना है और सतशब्द का ज्ञान नहीं है। हिंदू तीर्थ-व्रत करते हैं, जबकि मुसलमान रोजा रखते हैं। यह अलग-अलग धर्मों के प्रतिभागी हैं, जिन्हें एक-दूसरे से अलग किया जाता है। लेकिन दोनों ने अपने तन और मन को नहीं खोजा है। भेख लेकर खट्ट दर्शनी बनते हैं, पढ़ पढ़कर पंडित और काजी बनते हैं, सुन्नत के माध्यम से मुसलमान बनते हैं। लेकिन यह सवाल उठता है कि रामजी किससे राजी है? हिंदू पूर्व दिशा की ओर वंदना करते हैं, जबकि मुसलमान पश्चिम की ओर इबादत करते हैं। हिंदू जलाते हैं और मुसलमान गाड़ते हैं, लेकिन सच्चा रास्ता किसने पाया है?हिंदू बारहवां और मुसलमान चालीसा करते हैं। लेकिन परमात्मा की प्राप्ति का रहस्य किसको मिला है? यह सवाल वास्तव में महत्वपूर्ण है। The Maharaj tells the scholars that both Hindus and Muslims are mistaken and are engrossed in rituals, which leads to their downfall, as they lack the knowledge of the true sacred sound (satshabd). Hindus perform pilgrimages and religious observances, while Muslims observe fasting (roza). They are participants in different faiths, distinguished from each other. However, neither has sought to understand their own body and mind. Dressing in external appearances, they become outwardly pious; through study, they become scholars (pandits and kazis), and through circumcision, they identify as Muslims. But the question arises: who is Ramji pleased with? Hindus worship facing the east, while Muslims pray facing the west. Hindus light fires while Muslims bury, but who has found the true path? Hindus celebrate during the full moon (barhavan), and Muslims observe the forty-day prayer (chalisah), but who has discovered the secret to attaining the Supreme Being (paramatma)? This question is indeed significant.
