पांडे से सब मधम कहावे। तांबा भखे पीवे ले नासा, सो सट परले जावे ॥ टेर ॥
कंदमूल ऋषिया खिण खाया, औरत भी संग कीवी। चोरी फेर करी ऋष संता, तांबा किणीहन पीवी ॥ १ ॥
रामकृष्ण जुग राज सो किया, घर घरणी सुण राखी। बांध क्रोध जीव खल मारया, तांबा किणीहन चाखी ॥ २ ॥
माटी भखी झूठ सो बोल्या, दया हीण भी कवाया। कह सुखराम इसा कर्म किया, पण तांबा पीवी न भाया ॥ ३ ॥
पंडितों से महाराज फरमाते हैं कि जो तंबाकू खाते, पीते और सूंघते हैं, वे सब मध्यम कहलाते हैं और चौरासी में आते-जाते हैं। ऋषियों ने कंदमूल खोदकर खाया, स्त्रियाँ भी साथ रखीं, ऋषियों ने चोरी भी की, परन्तु तंबाकू को काम में नहीं लिया। राम-कृष्ण ने जगत में राज किया। घर में रानियाँ रखीं, क्रोध करके दुष्टों का संहार किया, परन्तु तंबाकू का किसी ने सेवन नहीं किया। मिट्टी खाई, झूठ भी बोले, जगत में दयाहीन भी कहलाए। महाराज फरमाते हैं कि ऐसे कर्म भी किए, परन्तु तंबाकू नहीं पिया।
Harajas Pad Raag Sorath(९)
paanḍe se sab madham kahaave. taanbaa bhakhe piive le naasaa, so saṭ parale jaave ॥ ṭer ॥
kandamuul ṛshiyaa khiṇ khaayaa, owrat bhii sang kiivii. chorii pher karii ṛsh santaa, taanbaa kiṇiihan piivii ॥ १ ॥
raamakṛshṇ jug raaj so kiyaa, ghar gharaṇii suṇ raakhii. baandh krodh jiiv khal maarayaa, taanbaa kiṇiihan chaakhii ॥ २ ॥
maaṭii bhakhii jhuuṭh so bolyaa, dayaa hiiṇ bhii kavaayaa. kah sukharaam isaa karm kiyaa, paṇ taanbaa piivii n bhaayaa ॥ ३ ॥
Referring to Pandits who consume tobacco maharaj ji said that those who inhale and consume tobacco are immoral and worthless people and chaurasi is their destiny. Some sages lived in seclusion with their wives, survived on herbs in forests, may have at times been involved in stealing but never consumed tobacco. Lord Rama and Krishna ruled their kingdoms with their queens. They punished the wicked persons in society but never consumed tobacco. Some sages did not express gratitude to the soil they lived on, fed lies, and had been unkind to others but they also always abstained from tobacco.
